Discus Band

Discus is a progressive rock band from Indonesia which was formed in 1996. this band is one of representations the best band of indonesia. not only famous in indonesia, but have the great achievements in the world. In fact, in 1999, a U.S. music magazine, Expose dub this band: "...best of the year stuff, this one gets our highest recommendation...". not only that, a number of progressive rock music critical in Europe, agreed to place Discus 1st album as "big five prog-rock best European album" at the end of 1999. type of music that is brought by discus is progressive rock by entering the ethnic music feel of indonesia. In addition to progressive, some the music observers also mentioned for Discus music feature other is a contemporary classic. Discus strengthened by musicians who have great musical skill. one of them are Iwan Hasan, the guitarist has played with the typical play guitar with 21 strings at once this leader from the band. no one mentions, if Discus are indonesian pride as the band that has the reputation in the world.
